‘The Forever Purge’ Slated For July Release

by Thomas Tuna

The Purge franchise will soldier on, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with a fifth installment entitled The Forever Purge.|

The next horror installment is scheduled to hit movie screens July 10, but the studio may have to push back that date if theaters are not reopened by that time.

Everardo Gout (who worked on Luke Cage) is in the director’s chair for this latest dose of Purge. James DeMarco, creator of the Purge franchise, penned the screenplay.

Stars include Leven Rambin, Will Patton, Cassidy Freeman, Ana de la Reguera and Tenoch Huerta.

The movie takes the Purge franchise “out of the usual metropolitan setting, while still dealing with class and race issues in the way the previous films did,” sources told THR.
