“I don’t want to go to Hell!”

The Exorcist: Believer–the much-hyped sequel to the 1973 horror classic–creeps ever closer to theaters, and another teaser dropped this week. Check out the brief video on this page that takes everyone into a holy terror.

The film–from Blumhouse Productions and Universal Pictures–is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he wrote with Scott Teems, Danny McBride and Peter Sattler. The feature hits big screens everywhere Oct. 6.

In the film, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.) is raising his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) alone after his wife’s death, but everything goes horribly wrong one fateful day. Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum) wander off and become lost in the woods.

The friends return home three days later–with no memory of what happened to them–but a chain of events forces Fielding “to confront evil–and find the one person who has seen something like this before: Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn).”
