The Exorcist added to National Film Registry

Every year, The National Film Registry of the Library of Congress selects 25 American movies to be preserved in perpetuity for their cultural, historical, and aesthetic significance. The Registry began in 1989 and, as of this year, has preserved over 500 films. William Friedkin’s 1973 The Exorcist is one of the 25 films added today to the Nation Film Registry.
