The Crow: Curare #1 Review

By The Big Bad Wolf

It is very rare that a comic book can stir up emotion thanks to all the violence we see daily on TV, but "The Crow: Curare" #1 does just that. James O’Barr delivers what may be his best work to date in the opening issue of what is sure to be one of the most talked about horror series of 2013.

The series focuses on a Detroit detective, Joe Salk who is now retired. Salk is haunted by a crime he could not solve, the rape and death of a young girl. We learn more about this poor victim from the autopsy report which will indeed disturb you.

Issue one of the mini-series delivers in major way. By the time the issue ends you will be wanting The Crow to exact revenge as only he can.
