by Rob Caprilozzi

Heartbreaking news this morning as we have learned that director, Stacy Title, has passed away at the age of 56. The cause of death was ALS, a disease she suffered with for three long years, according to a report on Deadline.

Title is known to most horror fans for helming the 2017 supernatural thriller, The Bye Bye Man. The film starred Douglas Smith, Cressida Bonas, Lucien Laviscount, Carrie-Anne Moss and Faye Dunaway. Monster actor Doug Jones portrayed the villainous Bye Bye Man. The film brought in just under $30 million on a budget of $7.4 million.

Another flick that Title directed was the 2007 cult classic, Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror. The anthology film starred Snoop Dog, Ernie Hudson, Danny Trejo, Brande Roderick, Diamond Dallas Page, Jason Alexander and Billy Dee Williams.

The staff of Horror News Network send our condolences to Stacy’s family and friends during this difficult time.
