‘The Bride’ Adds To Wedding Party With New Cast Member

This might be one bridal bouquet you won’t want to catch.

The Bride–an upcoming horror thriller from Screen Gems–this week added another member to its growing cast, according to a report on Deadline. Alana Boden (I Am Elizabeth Smart) has joined Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) and Garret Hedlund (TronLegacy) in the wedding-themed film.

Few details about the storyline and the individual roles have been revealed at this point, but the movie reportedly is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, so could Boden be playing one of the brides of the Vampire Lord?

Fans can only hope this new film does not take the same course as the 1985 movie of the same name–starring Sting and Jennifer Beals–that tried unsuccessfully to remake the classic 1935 The Bride of Frankenstein.

The only insight into the film so far is that it is planned as a “contemporary horror thriller that tells the story of a young woman who is courted and swept off her feet, only to realize a gothic conspiracy is afoot.”

Jessica M. Thompson–off her feature film directorial debut on The Light of the Moon–will helm The Bride, working off a screenplay by Blair Butler, perhaps best known for scripting Polaroid and Hell Fest.

No release date for The Bride has been announced, so keep reading Horror News Network for further updates.
