Invite Stephen King for Huluween.
The Boogeyman–the big-screen adaptation of King’s 1978 short story–enjoyed a successful theatrical run over the summer and now, before the film gets a Blu-ray release Oct. 10, the movie will debut on Hulu Oct. 5 as part of the streamer’s Huluween collection.
The feature–directed by Rob Savage from a screenplay by Mark Heyman–stars Chris Messina, David Dastmalchian, Marin Ireland, Vivien Lyra Blair, Madison Hu and Sophie Thatcher.
The Boogeyman follows high school student Sadie Harper and her kid sister Sawyer, who are recovering from the death of their mother–while getting little support from their father.
And things go downhill from there when a man shows up at their house, bringing with him “a terrifying entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.”
