This is a version of The Batman you really don’t want to meet in a dark alley.
Inspired by DC Comics’ bizarre The Batman Who Laughs character–an alternate version of the crime fighter from the Dark Multiverse–a 1/4-scale statue from Queen Studios has been announced on news.toyark.com. Check out the eerie statue seen on this page.
The statue–cast in polystone and standing more than 26 inches tall–is priced at $1,885 and will be released in December 2022. The striking piece of artwork is limited to 500 pieces.
The Batman Who Laughs statue, as explained, depicts the corrupted Dark Knight on his throne, flanked by his Rabid Robins and the undead. The statue comes with a replacement head sculpt which replaces the smiling The Batman Who Laughs with a more sinister grinning visage.
In this Dark Multiverse, Bruce Wayne becomes The Batman to save Gotham, but breaks his one rule and kills The Joker. After this, he is exposed to chemicals that gradually turn him into a hybrid of The Batman and The Joker. When the horrible transformation is complete, he descends into madness and recruits his son and other children as his Rabid Robins.
