The Addams Family To Grace Box Redesigns For Kellogg’s

It may still be summer, but Kellogg’s is looking to get a big jump on a “creepy and kooky” Halloween season.

The cereal giant recently entered into a partnership with MGM, allowing the iconic characters from the upcoming animated The Addams Family 2 to appear on cereal boxes and snack packages later this month, according to

Kellogg’s will redo the boxes of Froot Loops, Apple Jacks and Chocolate Frosted Flakes, as well as Rice Krispies Treats and two other snack packages, with the familiar faces of the “mysterious and spooky” Addams Family clan.

Frosted Flakes will feature Lurch, Apple Jacks and Rice Krispies Treats will sport Wednesday and Froot Loops will highlight Cousin Itt. In addition, Uncle Fester will at home on Pop-Tarts Frosted Spooky Chocolatey Fudge Bites.

Calling The Addams Family a “timeless Halloween classic,” Kellogg’s marketing chief Laura Newman said this collaboration “enables families to bring the oddly lovable Addams Family spirit home with our spooky cereals, trick-or-treat-ready snacks and a free download of the first animated The Addams Family in specially marked boxes.”

The Addams Family 2–with the voice talents of Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Charlize Theron (Morticia), Chloe Grace Moretz (Wednesday), Nick Kroll (Fester), Javon Walton (Pugsley), Bette Midler (Grandmama) and Snoop Dogg (Cousin Itt)–is scheduled to hit theaters Oct. 1.
