They’re lining up for the blood ‘n games.

With production recently begun in Mexico City, the tenth entry in the classic Saw horror franchise is moving ahead smartly, and four new actors this week joined the ensemble, according to a report on Deadline.

Renata Vaca (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Death to Summer) and Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me) have signed on for the Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures project that’s slated for an Oct. 27, 2023 theatrical release.

The new quartet joins Tobin Bell (reprising his role as John Kramer, the Jigsaw Killer), Synnove Macody Lund, Steven Brand and Michael Beach in the cast–with reports pointing to Saw veteran Shawnee Smith returning to the fold.

The new horror pic is directed by Kevin Greuter, who helmed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger.

The original 2004 Saw–directed by James Wan from a screenplay by Leigh Whannell–stars Bell, Smith, Cary Elwes, Danny Glover and Monica Potter. The film received lukewarm reviews, but horror fans embraced it–and the feature earned an impressive $100 million worldwide on a budget of just $1 million.
