AMC this week teased the second and final season The Walking Dead: World Beyond with an eye-catching behind-the-scenes production clip.
The 10-episode second season of the spinoff of The Walking Dead–now into its 11th and final season–will kick off on AMC Oct. 3, as reported by comicbook.com. Check out the teaser on this page.
The upcoming season of World Beyond, as explained, will reunite Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Felix (Nico Tortorella) with Will (Jelani Alladin) as enemies of the Civic Republic Military. These allies–separated from Iris’ sister Hope (Alexa Mansour), Elton (Nicolas Cantu) and Silas (Hal Cumpston)–will try to learn more about the CRM while fighting for their lives.
Season 2, according to the official synopsis, will see the conclusion of the saga of Iris, Hope, Elton and Silas, who have “journeyed across the country on a mission that transformed everything they knew about themselves and the world.” During their struggles against the CRM this season, “goals will shift, bonds will form and crumble and innocence will be both lost and found.”
The first season of World Beyond dealt with the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of a post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters and their two friends–who left a place of safety in Nebraska to embark on an important quest–entered a time of “growing up and transformation” as they traveled across a dangerous landscape.
World Beyond–created by Matt Negrete and Scott M. Gimple–is produced by AMC Studios. The executive producers include Negrete, Gimple, Robert Kirkman (co-creator of TWD), Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert and Brian Bockrath.
