Santa? Not on your life.
Terrifier 3–the next installment in the growing slasher franchise–is expected to hit theaters next Halloween, and the first teaser is now here. Check out the holiday horror on this page.
The film–from writer/director Damien Leone–is on track to start shooting in January for an Oct. 25, 2024 big screen debut.
And this time around, with a bigger budget to work with, Leone recently told Slash Film that he was able to hire a professional makeup team to fine-tune the effects in this feature, speeding up the overall process. “I can focus on one thing instead of a hundred things,” Leone said.
This development, he added, “is really exciting. It’s going to allow me to shoot the movie in three months as opposed to three years.”
This third film stars the returning David Howard Thornton as the murderous Art the Clown and Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw. In the movie, Art will “unleash chaos on the residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.” Worse than coal in your stocking.
Terrifier 2–which follows a resurrected Art chasing Sienna and her kid brother Jonathan on Halloween night one year after mutilating Victoria Heyes and then committing suicide–was a box office hit, earning more than $15 million on a budget of $250,000.
