Just when you thought the pandemic couldn’t get any worse.
Sick–described as a “wickedly timely slasher”–premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and this week dropped its first teaser clip. Check out the video–courtesy of Collider–on this page.
The horror pic–directed by John Hyams (the Universal Soldier franchise) from a script by Scream screenwriter Kevin Williamson–is set during the pandemic and, as such, should strike a frightening chord with many horror fans.
Starring Gideon Adlon and Bethlehem Million, the film watches as the pandemic “steadily brings the world to a halt, and Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone–or so they think,” according to the synopsis. But when the doorbell ominously rings and an insistent knock is heard at the door, the horrors begin.
