Mother knows best.

Mother, May I?–a psychological horror pic from Dark Sky Films–is set for a theatrical release sometime in the spring or summer (stay tuned for an exact date), and a teaser trailer arrived this week to set the stage. Check out the video on this page.

The film–the feature debut for writer/director Laurence Vannicelli–stars genre standouts Kyle Gallner (Smile) and Holland Roden (Teen Wolf: The Movie)–along with Chris Mulkey (Cloverfield), Michael Giannone (Don’t Look Up) and Daphne Gaines (Inside Game).

In the feature, a man’s fiancee “starts behaving like his recently deceased mother, leading him to confront his deepest traumas to free her from the bewildering possession,” according to the brief synopsis.

Greg Newman of Dark Sky Films called the movie a “true original” that incorporates “supernatural elements to create an unforgettable film. It pushes boundaries, and is filled with edge and emotion.”
