They’re lining up in bunches to walk with the dead.
Tales of the Walking Dead–the latest spinoff of AMC’s ever-growing TWD franchise that will premiere over the summer–this week signed up six more actors for its ensemble cast, according to Deadline.
The new additions include Olivia Munn (Violet), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon & The Winter Soldier), Loan Chabanol (Fading Gigolo), Embeth Davidtz (Old), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys) and Gage Munroe (Nobody).
They will join the previously announced Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Poppy Liu, Anthony Edwards, Jillian Bell and Daniella Pineda in the cast. No details on the characters they will play have been released.
Tales of the Walking Dead–led by showrunner Channing Powell and executive producer Scott M. Gimple–will consist of six one-hour standalone episodes that will focus on both new and established characters in The Walking Dead universe.
Gimple said these new actors are “the latest talents that will bring new worlds of TWD to life with big, different, shocking and scary stories.” The series, he explained, will accent different themes. “Some weeks, about horror. Some weeks, black comedy. Different time periods in the apocalypse.”
The directors on tap to helm the series include Haiffa al-Mansour (Motherland), Deborah Kampmeier (Star Trek: Picard), Tara Nicole Weyr (Bosch) and Michael Satrazemis (Fear the Walking Dead).
