Daniella Pineda will now have dinosaurs and zombies on her resumé.

Pineda this week joined the growing ensemble of Tales of the Walking Dead–the latest spinoff of the popular AMC horror series, according to a report in Variety.

The 35-year-old actor has already appeared as Zia Rodriguez in 2018’s Jurassic WorldFallen Kingdom, and will reprise that role in this summer’s Jurassic WorldDominion. Pineda also starred in The CW’s The Originals and the Netflix live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop.

The previously announced cast members for Tales of the Walking Dead–slated to debut on AMC and AMC+ this summer–include Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Poppy Liu, Anthony Edwards and Jillian Bell. Details on the characters each will play have not yet been announced.

The six-episode anthology series–led by showrunner Channing Powell and chief content officer Scott M. Gimple–is set within the world of The Walking Dead, and will feature both new and existing characters.

Directors already on board for the series include Haifaa al-Mansour (Motherland), Deborah Kampmeier (Star TrekPicard), Tara Nicole Weyr (Bosch) and Michael Satrazemis (Fear the Walking Dead).

Gimple said this spinoff “runs on new voices, perspectives and ideas–bringing to life stories unlike any we’ve told before.” Gimple added that he and his writers “pushed, pulled and poked at the boundaries of this universe to create something new and unexpected.”
