Details Emerge About Netflix’s ‘Mindhunter’ Season Two

Playlist is reporting some exciting details about David Fincher’s stellar Netflix series Mindhunter and what is in store for season two.

It has been confirmed that the mastermind of the production, David Fincher, will return to direct both the premiere and the finale of season two.  Fincher will be joined by Carl Franklin (Devil In A Blue Dress, One False Move, HBO’s Vinyl and The Leftovers) who will direct four of the episodes with Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James, Killing Me Softly) rounding out the trio and directing two of the episodes as well.   read more

‘Preacher’ Renewed for Season Three

According to executive producer Seth Rogen, AMC’s Preacher will return for a third season in 2018.

Rogen tweeted out the following announcement on his official twitter account yesterday:

For those of you that need to catch up on Preacher Season Two, the Blu-ray set will be released on November 14th.  Critics reacted to season two very favorably (90% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes), but the ratings did dip a bit from the first season.  The first season averaged well over 3 million total viewers while the second season brought in an average somewhere in the range of 2.5 million viewers. read more

‘Stranger Things’ Creators say that the Series will run for Four Seasons

In an exclusive interview with Vulture, the creators of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things stated that the series will run for four seasons and then they are “out”.

Matt and Ross Duffer went on to say that “We just have to keep adjusting the story. Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

The brothers also cited the fact that by a fourth season the characters would be of college age (and would also quickly be escaping the 1980’s setting that is part of the charm of the series). read more

Rance Family Not Returning to The Exorcist Season Two Cast List

Many horror fans were pleased when Fox announced that the Exorcist would be receiving a second season order.  It was also hinted at in the finale that the focus of the show would switch to another family or case.

TV Line recently confirmed this switch, reporting that series regulars Alfonso Herrera, Kurt Egyiawan, and Ben Daniels would return to investigate another demonic case, but that the Rance family would not, meaning that Geena Davis, Alan Ruck, Hannah Kasulka and Brianne Howey would not be returning as official cast members. read more
