This past weekend at the prestigious Toy Fair New York, I had the opportunity to sit down with Jessa Morgen of WizKids for an exclusive discussion about their upcoming American release of Hako Onna – a Japanese horror game that is currently in it’s fourth edition in Japan. Check out the video to learn all about this horrifying game and then visit the WizKids link below the video for more info.
As you heard, WizKids is shooting for a Q3 release of Hako Onna which will put them in line to get this game in our hands hopefully before Halloween of this year. I definitely dropped several references to Horror News Network wanting a copy to review so we will keep you posted if that happens! In the meantime, head over to the WizKids website (click here) for more info on Hako Onna and all other games they currently have in production and don’t forget to check out the rest of our coverage from Toy Fair New York 2019 by clicking here! read more
HNN’s Larry Dwyer and Sean McLaughlin once again invaded the Jacob Javitz Center in Manhattan for Toy Fair New York, the annual international convention of toy manufacturers, distributors and retailers. And once again, all horror fans have a LOT to look forward to in 2019 and beyond.
The usual suspects of horror industry heavyweights such as NECA, Mezco and McFarlane Toys (among many others) did not disappoint with their impressive displays and product announcements, which are covered in the event pictures posted here. While the genre standards like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Chucky were of course well-represented, several new exciting licenses were unveiled as well. Our favorites are They Live, which saw multiple companies announce brand-new figure lines, and the anticipated upcoming film The Curse of La Llorona. Mezco appears to be knocking it out of the park in respect to the latter. read more

Are you looking to express your fandom by purchasing some new merchandise based on a beloved franchise after the conclusion of Harry Potter Book Night, but before the launch of Star Wars’ May the Fourth extravaganza and Force Friday? Well, Twentieth Century Fox has just the event for you: the third annual Alien Day!
Set for April 26th, 2018 (because “4/26” sounds kind of like “LV-426,” the name of the infamous planet where the crew of the Nostromo encounter the viscous little facehugger), the event will include everything from sale prices on digital purchases of classic Alien movies to an Aliens pinball tournament. Special products will be available from such companies as Dark Horse Comics, Fright Rags, Neca, Funko, Mondo, Mattel, and Diamond Select. read more

Staff Journalists Larry Dwyer and Sean McLaughlin made the trek ready to report, and thanks to an assist by our friends at Action Figure Collectors (www.actionfigurecollectors.com) we were able to provide thorough coverage of all announcements and news relevant to the horror masses. read more

Welcome to another chilly, snow-covered edition of Horror Hunting!. As this winter continues to punish the Northeast for some unknown, undeserved reason, I think it’s appropriate to warm our thoughts with the splendor and magnificence of our favorite horror holiday of the year, Halloween! We’ll also take a look back at a simpler time, when terror came from above as well as from within. Remember when we were scared/hoping for a violent alien invasion of Earth? Hopefully the much-rumored Independence Day sequel can install a little more of that soon, but in the meantime check out the collectable goodies lined up for you….. read more
