Earlier this week, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Danai Gurira would be leaving AMC’s smash drama The Walking Dead in season 10. Gurira, who has portrayed the iconic role of Michonne briliantly since season 2, has also made a big impact on the big screen, appearing in 2018’s Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity Wars. While the actress has signed a deal for a few episodes in season 10 in “limited capacity,” there is much speculation that she will be back in the three Walking Dead movies that AMC is planning.
AMC has released the first art for season nine of The Walking Dead and it contains what looks to be a pretty important piece of information: The United States Capitol. The poster, released by Deadline yesterday, is interesting for a few reasons: first of all, we are obviously following the mystery of the helicopter again this season (no surprise there). But the second, and most intriguing piece, is the Capitol because unless that large building was moved somehow, this means that the group ends up in Washington DC which signifies a major break from the comics. read more
