Bats Galore in Netflix’s ‘The Silence’ Trailer

It appears as if Netflix is ready to chase every horror trend from 2018 in Annabelle and Wish Upon director John Leonetti ‘s upcoming bat horror film The Silence.

Not only does The Silence include a sound gimmick (A Quiet Place), a healthy dose of another sense-altering twist (the protagonist is deaf), but it also stars Netflix’s very own Sabrina, Kiernan Shipka (apparently, blindfolds would have been too derivative for Netflix viewers, who just enjoyed a similar tale entitled Bird Box.) read more

Trailer Arrives for ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2’

Just yesterday, Netflix revealed the official trailer to the second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The two-minute trailer which features the Runaways classic Cherry Bomb gives us a glimpse of what to expect including warlocks, witches and other things that go bump in the night.

The official synopsis for the next entry in the series reads as follows:

It’s a wicked world out there, and Sabrina is brewing up trouble. After signing her name in the Book of the Beast, Sabrina struggles to find the balance between her place in the mortal world and her new darker side. New challenges await Sabrina in Part 2, including having to choose between the familiar mortal Harvey Kinkle, and the sexy warlock Nicholas Scratch. She may have signed her name to the Dark Lord, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t willing to raise a little hell. read more

Netflix Unleashes Premiere Date & Teaser Trailer for ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2’

Between its October premiere, its upcoming holiday special, and the breaking announcement of a second season premiere just months away, Netflix must be out to prove there can’t be too much of a good thing when it comes to Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The streaming giant just released a rockin’ new trailer for Season Two of the hit series starring Kiernan Shipka, and it’s hitting the web earlier than you may think!

Season Two of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will premiere on April 5th, 2019. Similar to the clever titling of Stranger Things 2, the word “season” isn’t anywhere to be found in the new trailer. This time around, it’s called Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2. In addition to borrowing this edgy title format (and “borrowing” The Satanic Temple’s copyrighted statue of Baphomet), the trailer also rocks The Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb”… a song previously featured in famous scenes from Dazed and Confused, Lollipop Chainsaw, Warehouse 13, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Like I said, Netflix must be out to prove there can’t be too much of a good thing! Either this, or that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… read more

Witches Rule in ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Trailer

Netflix unveiled the official trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina today.

Based on the Horror Comic Award-winning series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina tells the tale of Sabrina Spellman, a girl who is half witch/half mortal. When Sabrina turns 16 she must make a decision that will shape her future, become a full witch or pursue a mortal life.

Chilling Adventures stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, and Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle.

From what we saw in the trailer, the Netflix series will have much more comedy than what was ever present in the comics. The comics featured a much darker tone and has long been described as “tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.” read more

First Image from Netflix’s ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Revealed

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the writer and Executive Producer of Netflix’s adaptation of Archie Comics’ The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, took to twitter today to share the first image from the upcoming series featuring Sabrina and her boyfriend Harvey.

The image features Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) and Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch) “strolling down the avenue” into teenage romance and possible trouble, albeit of a more demonic nature.  The Netflix series is based on the 2014 comic book mini series (also written by Aguirre-Sacasa) and if the source material is any indication, this series will more closely resemble classic horror films, rather than the light-hearted Melissa Joan Hart sit-com which aired from 1996 to 2003. read more
