Spyglass Media to Produce New ‘Scream’ Film

Just in from Deadline, a fifth entry in the legendary Scream franchise is in early development by Spyglass Media.

There are no details as to who will be writing or directing for the new entry which comes after the passing of franchise creator Wes Craven in 2015.

The Scream film franchise began with the original film in 1996, followed by Scream 2 in 1997, Scream 3 in 2000 and Scream 4 in 2011. The series was based around the life and the mishaps of Sydney Prescott played by Neve Campbell, who was stalked by the fearsome Ghost Face killer who wore the same mask but always by a different person. Other regular cast members include David Arquette as police officer Dwight “Dewey” Riley and Courtney Cox as news reporter Gale Weathers. read more

New Video Spotlights Ghostface in ‘Dead by Daylight’

Just a few weeks ago we brought you the news that Ghostface was set to be the latest killer in the acclaimed horror game Dead by Daylight. Today the developers of the game released a video showcasing the character as he stalks his victims throughout the game. The Ghost Face DLC launches today on PC and consoles and includes the killer, his power, three perks, and two exclusive items for the Ghost Face, the Monochrome Mania body and Silvery Steel Tactical Knife weapon.

The killer from the Scream franchise now joins Ash, Michael Myers, Leatherface and Freddy in the game which has sold more than 5 million copies as of May 2019. read more

Ghostface Coming to ‘Dead by Daylight’

Morf_UK, a Twitch streamer stumbled upon the latest addition to the survival horror game Dead by Daylight and it’s the masked slasher from the Scream series Ghostface. The leak occurred due to a wrong update being released to the Xbox One version which was found by the popular live streamer.

The developer has since confirmed Ghostface as part of its upcoming chapter release. read more
