Ash vs. Evil Dead Season 3 Coming in February to Starz

Prepare to get groovy in 2018.  According to the show’s official Twitter account, the wonderfully gory Starz original series Ash vs. Evil Dead will kick off their third season on Sunday, February 25th, 2018.  The cable network also released new promotional artwork for the upcoming season, which can be seen below.

The first two seasons of the horror-comedy series have been a critical success, though the ratings do still leave much to be desired.  The hardcore fan-base of the Evil Dead franchise are solely responsible for keeping the show afloat, which is a shame because the action and writing are incredible and gore factor unparalleled.  Bruce Campbell revised his role from the original films as Ash Williams, the shotgun-wielding, chainsaw-handed time-traveling reluctant hero who is locked in the ultimate battle with the deadites, who are decipals of the Necronomicon (book of the dead.)  Joining Ash in his quest are friends Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo), while the wonderful Lucy Lawless portrays his on-again, off-again friend and enemy Ruby.  Starz had previously announced that the show was getting picked up for a third season last October, though no other details were offered at the time. read more

Universal Orlando Announces ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ House for Halloween Horror Nights 2017

Universal Orlando announced today that Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead would get the Halloween Horror Nights treatment as a featured house for the 2017 event.

According to the official press release, it appears that the creators of the house have a good understanding of what makes the series popular as “The house will feature various locations from the first two seasons of Ash vs Evil Dead and lots of blood. Ash vs. Evil Dead Already a Go for Season 3!

With just one episode of season two in the books, Starz has announced that it has renewed Ash vs. Evil Dead for a third season. While no surprise to fans of the show, the move to announce the renewal so quickly can be seen as a signal to other networks that television viewers have not yet had their fill of mainstream horror TV shows just yet.

The announcement also came one day after cast members appeared in a panel at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York as a part of the annual New York Comic-Con. At the panel, series regulars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Lucy Lawless, Ted Raimi, and Michelle Hurd were joined by the legendary Lee Majors who plays Ash’s father in season two. read more

Fall TV – The Horror! The October Premieres (Part 1)

The fall TV shows just keep premiering as fast as we can watch/record them. October is a long month so we are breaking this segment into two parts.

Ash vs. Evil Dead. Sunday, October 2. 8PM on STARZ.

Ash is back again, baby! In fact, things are getting serious now because this guy is taking us home and introducing us to his father. And we thought we were just going to have some laughs and kill some deadites. This season of Ash vs. Evil Dead opens with Ash’s attempted life of retirement with his friends Pablo and Kelly going horribly wrong in the way it always does with our favorite anti-hero. What follows is a trip to Ash’s hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan, where Ash will try to right the wrongs of his past. Part of that is meeting up with a former sweetheart, Linda B. (Michelle Hurd) and trying to find common-ground with his father (Lee Majors). Although this may sound like a typical drama, let’s remember that this is the Evil Dead universe and nothing happens without buckets of blood, relentless snark, and violence that will make you both laugh and gasp. If you didn’t see Season 1 yet, get caught up now and get ready for Season 2! read more
