The original 1993 Leprechaun–written and directed by Mark Jones–stars Warwick Davis in the title role and Jennifer Aniston in her film debut. In the movie, Davis plays a vengeful leprechaun who believes a family has stolen his pot of gold. And, as he hunts them down, they try to appease him by finding his gold.
Despite negative reviews, the film earned $8.6 million in domestic theaters against a $1-million budget and eventually achieved cult status.
