Supernatural Horror Series Based On Joe Hill’s Novel ‘NOS4A2’ Coming to AMC

AMC is developing a series based on Joe Hill’s best selling novel ‘NOS4A2’.   It is being produced by  Michael Eisner’s Tornante TV (BoJack Horseman) and AMC Studios.  AMC is currently on the hunt for a writer.

The story centers around Victoria McQueen, whose gift for finding lost things is destroying her brain.   On her search for help, she encounters a psychopath named Charlie Manx who has been abducting children for a century in his 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith (license plate: NOS4A2).   By draining the souls of children he is able to himself young forever. However, when he kidnaps her son, she must fight though the nightmare world that lies below the surface of American society.

Hill’s book was published in 2013 by William Morrow and debuted on the New York Best Seller List at No.5.   His book ‘Horns’ was made into a feature film which was directed by Alex Aja in 2014.   ‘Heart Shaped Box’ is being redeveloped at Warner Bros. by Langley Park Productions.    His comic series ‘Lock & Key’ was first developed as a pilot, then as a feature film for Universal, and may again become a TV series.  Hill also wrote and executive produced a pilot of CW’s remake of ‘Tales From The Darkside’.  His fourth novel is coming in May 2016 and titled ‘The Fireman’.
