Summoning the Spirit–a new horror take on the Bigfoot legend from Dark Star Pictures–will release next month, and a new trailer and poster have arrived. Check them out on this page.
The film–slated for an Aug. 8 release on digital and DVD–comes from writer/director Jon Garcia, and follows a couple (Krystal Millie Valdes and Ernesto Reyes) who move into a house in a remote forest to escape the big city.
But, as fate (and the filmmakers) would have it, they find something “much more sinister–and soon realize they’re on land occupied by a cult.” And, even worse, the cult leader “claims a telepathic connection to a legendary flesh-eating beast deep in the woods.”
The feature–also starring Jesse Tayeh and Isabelle Muthiah–is produced by Garcia, Michael Repsch, Joe Jatcko and Lacy Todd.
