Things were going great at summer camp until…
She Came From The Woods–slated for its world premiere next month at London’s FrightFest–will be shopped by Blue Finch Films at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
The film–described as an homage to 1980s horror–follows a group of counselors who “accidentally unleash an ancient evil spirit on the last night of summer camp,” according to the synopsis. “As the situation turns bloody, the group must confront what stories are worth telling and what secrets are worth keeping.”
The movie–starring Cara Buono (Stranger Things), Clare Foley (Sinister), Spencer List (Mockingbird) and William Sadler (The Unholy)–is written, directed and produced by the team of Erik and Carson Bloomquist and draws on their 2017 short film of the same name.
Blue Finch managing director Mike Chapman called the film “a refreshing, fun take on a classic horror sub-genre. Filled with familiar faces, Erik and Carson have delivered on a great premise.”
