A Lovecraftian state of mind.

Suitable Flesh–described as an “erotic horror thriller”–will premiere at the Tribeca Festival this month before landing in theaters (as well as on-demand and digital) later this year, according to a report on Deadline. The film will start streaming on Shudder following its big screen debut.

The horror pic–based on H.P. Lovecraft’s short story The Thing on the Doorstep–is directed by Joe Lynch (Mayhem) from a screenplay by Dennis Paoli (Re-Animator).

In the feature, psychiatrist Elizabeth Derby (Heather Graham) “becomes obsessed with helping a young patient suffering from an extreme personality disorder.” But her desire to help leads her into “dark occult danger as she tries to escape a horrific fate”

The movie also stars Barbara Crampton (Jakob’s Wife), Judah Lewis (The Babysitter), Bruce Davison (the X-Men franchise) and Johnathon Schaech (The Doom Generation).
