‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Production Reaches Halfway Point

by Rob Caprilozzi

Hawkins will never be the same again.

Just yesterday Ross Duffer took to Instagram, in a post that can be seen below, to announce that production on the fifth season of Stranger Things has hit week 24, the official halfway point for the team.

The post shows two pieces of media. First, a photo of the cast and crew with a few characters blurred out, presumably to avoid spoilers. And second, a short video of Finn Wolfhard adding a marble to the bowl which marks the week’s completion.

“Alright, Finn, halfway. You’re putting the marble in. How does it feel?” Duffer asks as he records from behind his phone. “Exactly the same,” Wolfhard says with a smile.

The fifth season of the hit Netflix series has yet to receive a solid release date. Filming was supposed to begin in June of 2023 but was delayed until January 2024 due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike.
