Trading one horror for another.

A Quiet Place: Day One–the prequel to the popular A Quiet Place franchise–recently had its release date bumped back to March 8, 2024, but some good news landed this week with the addition of a genre veteran to the cast.

Check out the Twitter post from director Michael Sarnoski on this page–courtesy of comicbook.com–that confirms that Joseph Quinn–best known for his Eddie Munson role on Stranger Things–has joined Lupito Nyong’o in the cast.

This prequel–the first in the franchise not helmed by John Krasinski–will relate the backstory of the events of the first film which told of a family in isolation and silence as they navigate the ruins of a world ruled by monsters that hunt by sound.

Those fans interested in what happens after the events of the last film will have a little bit longer to wait. Another feature–Part III–follows the happenings of A Quiet Place: Part Two, and is slated for a 2025 release.
