‘Stranger Things 4’ Actor Drops Dark Hints About Volume 2

You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

At least that’s what Jamie Campbell Bower–who plays the dark wizard Vecna in the fourth season of Stranger Things–had to say during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Volume 1 of Stranger Things 4 is now streaming on Netflix, with Volume 2–consisting of two feature-length episodes–primed to debut July 1. And, according to the “monster” who should know, things are about to get even “stranger” around Hawkins, Ind.

Volume 2, Bower said, “gets bigger. If you thought it was as big as it could get–it’s not. It goes further–visually, storywise and emotionally–for all the characters. It really is quite an explosive climax.”

The actor added that “lots of people have used the words explosive and scope and scale, but I do mean that. It goes a lot further, and we get to know more as well. We learn a lot more as an audience in these final two episodes.”

Stranger Things 4–led by creators Matt and Ross Duffer–finds the characters separated for the first time and the people of Hawkins dealing with the supernatural menace of Vecna. Ross Duffer said this season leans “much harder into that horror movie territory that we love.”

The series–which will return for a fifth and final season–already has 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (and six wins) and has received three People’s Choice Awards.
