Stephen Lang Teases Another ‘Don’t Breathe’ Horror Pic

How long can you hold that breath?

If you believe Stephen Lang, a third entry in the Don’t Breathe horror franchise is on its way. No official announcement has yet been made, but the star of the first two films seems pretty certain of another installment.

During a recent interview with comicbook.com, Lang said he has an affinity with the franchise’s The Blind Man. “It’s not difficult for me to open the door in The Blind Man’s brain,” he said. “It’s not a place where I want to spend a huge amount of time, unless that’s what I’m doing. And when I’m doing it–when I’m in The Blind Man–it’s a very interesting place to be.”

Lang added that he “enjoyed filming Don’t Breathe and Don’t Breathe 2 very, very much. Just as I plan to enjoy filming Don’t Breathe 3.” Wishful thinking or confirmation? Stay tuned.

The original 2016 Don’t Breathe–directed by Fede Alvarez from a screenplay he wrote with Rodo Sayagues–stars Lang as Norman Nordstrom (The Blind Man), a veteran who’s the victim of a home invasion, but who turns the tables on his attackers.

Last year’s sequel–Don’t Breathe 2–was directed by Sayagues from a screenplay he wrote with Alvarez.. This film–which picks up eight years after the original–sees Lang reprise his role, as Nordstrom is trying to redeem himself with a new family. But his life is again disrupted by a violent confrontation.
