Stephen King’s ‘The Jaunt’ Coming to Television

Dave Erickson, who has been a writer and producer on Fear the Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy, has joined forces with MRC Television, according to a story from Deadline. MRC Television has some hit shows under their collective belts with series’ like Ozark on Netflix and The Outsider on HBO; the latter being based on a novel by Stephen King.

It seems like MRC wants to stay in the King business as they are having Erickson develop a series out of the King short story ‘The Jaunt’ which was in King’s book of short stories called ‘Skeleton Crew’ from 1985. ‘The Jaunt’ is a nasty little story about the dangers of time travel in the 24th century.

The president of MRC Television, Elise Henderson, discussed the addition of Dave Erickson to their team as well as having him on board in creating the new King series, “he’s a true master of his craft, he’s the ideal partner to build upon the work of Stephen King, and create and develop more originals as the studio continues to expand.”

We’ll have more news on The Jaunt as production gets rolling.
