Fans of Todd McFarlane’s Spawn have eagerly awaiting the inclusion of the undead hero in the latest Mortal Kombat game, Mortal Kombat 11, ever since the announcement was made last year. As evidenced by the bloody gameplay trailer below, Spawn is indeed ready to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 11 on March 17 with all of the powers and abilities that fans relish from his comic book, animated, and live action incarnations.
Besides all of the expected Spawn weapons and attacks (such as his signature chains, cape, axes, swords, fireballs, machine guns, and magical blasts of green energy), this version of MK Spawn is also voiced by the man who brought the character to life on HBO’s Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, Keith David.
Spawn originally made his fighting game debut in 2003 in Namco’s Soul Calibur II.
If you haven’t already purchased the Kombat Pack, Spawn will be available for individual purchase on March 24th. You can also check out HNN’s exclusive booth tour of McFarlane Toys from this year’s NY Toy Fare to catch a glimpse of some of the new Mortal Kombat and Spawn action figures coming your way this year.
