Deadline is reporting that the CW is in talks to develop "Sleepy hollow" for TV. "The Headless Horseman is making a splash at the onset of this year’s broadcast development season. The CW is in talks for Sleepy Hollow, a drama series project from Missing writers Patrick Macmanus and Grant Scharbo and producers Gina Matthews of Little Engine Prods (Missing) and Aaron Berger and Carina Schulze of Chatrone Prods. The project, described as a boundary-pushing horror story for television, is a contemporary take on the classic tale The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, in which FBI Agent Ichabod Crane arrives in Sleepy Hollow to investigate a mysterious beheading. Sleepy Hollow is not set up at a studio yet." "Talks with CW come just as another Sleepy Hollow drama pitch is being shopped to Fox, CBS, ABC and NBC. Also titled Sleepy Hollow and also envisioned as a contemporary take on the tale, that project hails from Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, with Len Wiseman attached to direct. It is unclear whether the arrival of the Kurtzman-Orci project to the marketplace would affect the Macmanus-Scharbo one at the CW." Check out the Sleepy Hollow the Series. | ![]() |
