They’re just dying to use this phone.

Bad Connection–a new horror thriller with an ominous cellphone at the center of the story–this week added to its growing cast, according to a report on Collider.

The new cast members–Michael Naizu, Deon Richmond, Perez Hilton, SwagBoyQ, Austin Zajur and Tiffany Shepis–join the previously announced stars Dana Davis and Chris Gann, along with Camila Banus, Orel De La Mota, Courtney Halverson and Brooke Anne Smith. The roles for the new ensemble members were not revealed.

The film–from The Ninth House–is directed and produced by Jake Helgren (Nightmare Nurse), who also wrote the screenplay with Stephen Wells.

Bad Connection follows a waitress (Davis), who buys a new cellphone, and then discovers a snuff film on it. But that’s not all. She then becomes the target of a madman (Gann), “who will stop at nothing to get the phone back–including destroying anything or anyone in his way,” according to the synopsis.

The film has Vanessa Shapiro, Michael Madnick and Tim Stearns on board as executive producers.
