‘The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror XXVIII” Features the Voices of Neil Gaiman, William Friedkin, and Ben Daniels

The Simpsons “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween and Horror-themed episodes have a long tradition of including parodies of classic horror films and television including jabs at Night of the Living Dead, The Shining, and the Twilight Zone, just to name a few.

This season’s episode (number 28 if you are keeping score at home) will feature parodies of The Exorcist, featuring the voices of Ben Daniels (who co-stars as Father Keane on Fox’s The Exorcist television program) and the director of the 1973 original that sent moviegoers running from the theaters and into their local churches, William Friedkin.

Neil Gaiman will also voice a character for the Coraline segment of “Treehouse of Horror Episode XXVIII”.  This is Gaiman’s second time on The Simpsons, as he appeared as himself in season twenty-three’s “The Book Job”, where the author assists the Simpson family in creating a new blockbuster book series entitled The Troll Twins of Underbridge Academy.

This year’s edition of “Treehouse of Horror” airs this Sunday, October 22nd at 8:00 p.m.on Fox.
