Shyamalan’s Untitled Project Signs Up Lead Actors

by Thomas Tuna

Mum’s the word.

As usual with acclaimed (and secretive) filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, very few details have been revealed about his latest genre film, but now the two lead actors have been announced by Film Updates.

Josh Hartnett (Penny Dreadful) and singer-songwriter Saleka Shyamalan (the director’s daughter) will headline the upcoming film–which is shooting in Canada under the code name Good Grades.

In the yet-to-be-named feature–described only as a “psychological thriller set at a concert”–Hartnett will play a father heading to a concert with his son. But, things go south when the father gets caught up in dangerous psychological secrets. Shyamalan’s daughter will portray one of the singers performing at the concert.

The film–part of Shyamalan’s multi=year first-look directing and producing arrangement with Warner Bros.–reportedly has been slated for an Aug. 2, 2024 theatrical release. Stay tuned for any changes in that area.
