It looks like even M. Night Shyamalan’s small-screen horror efforts are big hits.
Servant–which has the acclaimed filmmaker as executive producer and sometime director–is heading into its third successful season on Apple TV+ and, according to comicbook.com, the debut date has been set for Jan. 21, 2022. Check out the season’s first teaser trailer on this page.
The 10-episode Season 3 will confine the frightening adventures of a Philadelphia couple in mourning after a tragedy strikes their marriage and leads them into a confrontation with a mysterious force that has invaded their home.
Shyamalan will direct at least one episode this season, working with writers Ryan Scott, Ishana Night Shyamalan, Alyssa Clark, Laura Marks, Henry Chaisson, Amy Louise Johnson and Kara Lee Corthon.
The show–created by Tony Basgallop–stars Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Neil Tiger Free, Rupert Grint and Sunita Mani.
Shyamalan recently revealed he now has a firm ending in mind for Servant. “I have to know where we’re going,” he said after the first season. “So, we worked it all out and I spent the pandemic–when we were all home–just writing out everything I wanted and dreamed for the remainder of the show.”
