A shining Night is putting down roots.
Prolific genre filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan this week entered into a multi-year first-look directing and producing arrangement with Warner Bros. Pictures Group, according to a report on Deadline.
This deal will include Shyamalan’s next project–Trap–which is slated for a theatrical release Aug. 2, 2024, as well as his daughter Ishana’a feature debut, The Watchers, scheduled to hit theaters June 7, 2024.
Under this agreement, Shyamalan and his production company, Blinding Edge Pictures, will develop original projects that the Oscar nominee will produce and/or direct for WBPG production divisions Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema.
Shyamalan’s most recent film–Knock at the Cabin–was his seventh feature to open at No. 1 at the box office. The hit movie currently stands at $40 million worldwide on a $20-million production cost.
