The first step has been taken toward the next M. Night Shyamalan mystery feature.
The celebrated filmmaker–famous for keeping a tight lid on his horror-fantasy projects–this week took to Twitter to announce the start of shooting on his next film, Knock at the Cabin. Check out the director’s post–courtesy of screenrant.com–on this page.

The Universal Pictures film–the 15th feature in Shyamalan’s impressive career–boasts a stellar cast that includes Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Jonathan Groff, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ben Aldridge, Abby Quinn and William Ragsdale. Fans will have a nice wait for the premiere, however–the movie lands in theaters Feb. 3, 2023.
Shyamalan–who is writing, directing and producing (as usual)–has revealed nothing about the storyline yet (also as usual). Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and Steven Schneider are also on board as producers.
Knock at the Cabin follows last year’s Old, which topped the $90-million mark in global receipts and was Shyamalan’s sixth film to debut at No. 1 at the box office.
