Shudder Picks Up ‘Perpetrator’ Before Berlin Premiere

Get ready for an “exploration of youthful chaos.”

Perpetrator–a new horror thriller set to bow at the Berlin International Film Festival in February–will land on Shudder sometime next year, according to a report in Variety. No debut date has been announced.

The feature–from writer/director Jennifer Reeder–stars Kiah McKirnan (Mare of Easttown), Christopher Lowell (My Best Friend’s Exorcism), Melanie Liburd (The Idol), Ireon Roach (Candyman) and Alicia Silverstone (The Lodge).

Perpetrator–produced by Gregory Chambet and Derek Bishe–follows Jonny (McKirnan), a teenage girl living in a town “where young woman continue to go missing.” The storyline revolves around “the power she’s forced to unlock to survive,” according to the brief synopsis.
