‘She Will’ Coming To Theaters, Shudder Later This Year

by Thomas Tuna

A new horror film described as “an excursion into the world of witchery, madness and dreams” is headed our way.

That description comes from the film’s executive director, Dario Argento–who should know a thing or two about these things, having earned the title Master of Horror for his films in the 1970s and 1980s. This new entry–She Will–is slated for theatrical release from IFC Midnight sometime this year and a Shudder debut presumably soon thereafter, according to Variety.

She Will–helmed by first-time director Charlotte Colbert from a screenplay she wrote with Kitty Percy–follows Veronica Ghent (Alice Krige) who, after a double mastectomy, goes to a healing retreat in Scotland with her young nurse Desi (Kota Eberhardt).

While there, Veronica discovers that “the process of such surgery opens up questions about her very existence, leading her to start to question and confront past traumas,” according to the official synopsis.

Veronica and Desi “develop an unlikely bond, as mysterious forces give Veronica the power to exact revenge within her dreams.”

The film–which also stars Malcolm McDowell and Rupert Everett–is produced by Jessica Malik and Bob Last, with Argento as an executive producer.

With no specific release date yet announced, keep reading Horror News Network for the latest on She Will.
