These kids are definitely lining up to be a hot lunch.
Shark Bait–another finny thriller to kick off the summer–splashes into theaters and on digital this Friday, May 13, and a new clip and poster were released this week to help fans feel the maritime menace. Check out the video and poster–courtesy of movieweb.com–on this page.
The film–directed by James Nunn from a screenplay by Nick Saltrese–stars Holly Earl, Jack Trueman, Catherine Hannay, Malachi Pullar-Latchman and Thomas Flynn–shark bait all.
The storyline–as explained by an updated synopsis–follows a group of young people on spring break in Mexico who decide to swipe a couple of jet skis and take off for the open waters. Bad idea.
As one might expect, the jet skis crash, leaving the unlucky group miles from shore. “The true horror begins,” according to the logline, “when they realize they have drifted into shark-infested waters. With no way back and one friend bleeding badly, the group must figure out how to survive the predator lurking in the waters below.”
Executive producer Al Munteanu said Shark Bait “has the unexpected twists and turns to become the next guilty pleasure that speaks to everyone’s desire not to get devoured.” Yup, that’s pretty much a universal desire.
