One good fall deserves another.
The filmmakers behind Fall–the Lionsgate thriller that (literally) took horror fans to new heights last summer–are looking to produce a follow-up feature, according to a report on Deadline.
Tea Shop Productions and writer/director Scott Mann reportedly are tossing ideas around for a sequel to the film that earned $22 million on a $5-million budget before enjoying further success on Netflix. The plan, according to reports, is to “get moving” on the project later this year.
Fall follows Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and her best friend Hunter (Virginia Gardner), two young woman who live to conquer their fears and push themselves to the limit, according to the logline.
But their latest adventure has them climbing 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, where they find themselves stranded–with no way down.
Their climbing skills are put to the ultimate test “as they desperately fight to survive the elements, a lack of supplies and vertigo-inducing heights.”
The film also stars such genre standouts as Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), Mason Gooding (the Scream franchise), Julia Pace Mitchell (Faster) and Jasper Cole (Westworld).
