Wanna know why they call it Ghost Island?
Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island–the third season of Nickelodeon’s revival of the fan-favorite 1990s series–kicks off at the end of the month, and a full trailer was dropped this week to get the juices flowing. Check out the video–courtesy of collider.com–on this page.
The new season of the horror anthology–from ACE Entertainment–debuts July 30 with a two-hour episode, with two other chapters following on Aug. 6 and 13.
Ghost Island features new members of the Midnight Society, “as they gather around the campfire to share spooky stories,” according to the logline. “This new group of kids go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation–until they learn something sinister is hunting the guests.”
This time around, the Midnight Society consists of Kayla (Telci Huynh), Max (Conor Sherry), Leo (Luca Padovan), Summer (Dior Goodjohn) and Ferris (Chance Hurstfield). Julian Curtis also stars as Stanley Crane, the hotel manager at the island resort.
The series–led by showrunner J.T. Billings and executive producer/director Dean Israelite–has Matt Kaplan, Chris Foss and Paul Kim on board as executive producers.
