“Maybe he gets to win this time.”
Scream VI finally hits the big screen this Friday, March 10, and one last teaser has dropped to get everyone in the mood (as if horror fans needed another promo for the super-hyped feature). Check out the video on this page.
The film (as all fans know by now) follows the survivors of the last Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind for New York City–only to learn they haven’t left everything behind. Ghostface obviously knows his way around the subway system.
Returning legacy stars include Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Hayden Panettiere, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding–who join forces with newcomers Samara Weaving, Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra and Henry Czerny.
This latest entry in the classic horror franchise is once again directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
And the directing team is already looking forward to a seventh chapter in the Scream franchise. At Monday’s red carpet premiere, the filmmakers were, of course, asked about the possibility of a Scream 7.
“We hope,” Bettinelli-Olpin told Deadline. “We want to be watching Scream movies–whether we’re involved or not–for the rest of our lives.” Gillett added that the directing duo is “so happy it’s back.”
