‘Saw’ Franchise Producers Hint At More Mayhem To Come

Jigsaw won’t give up without a fight.

Saw X–the latest entry in the classic horror film franchise–enjoyed a strong showing at the box office during its opening weekend and so, predictably, the filmmakers are looking to the future.

Producer Mark Burg–during a recent chat with Dexerto–said Saw X ends “where I think the audience will want to know what happens–and there’s kind of a cliffhanger ending. Should this movie work, there are going to be a bunch of actors from the past who have already called, wanting to know if they can be in the next movie.” So, as they say, stay tuned.

Saw X–directed by Kevin Greutert from a screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger–follows John Kramer (Tobin Bell returning in his most celebrated role) as he travels to Mexico for a “risky and experimental medical procedure, hoping for a miracle cure for his cancer.”

But, that “cure” turns out to be a terrible scam to defraud the most vulnerable. So, Kramer “returns to work–turning the tables on the con artists through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.”

The cast is rounded out by Shawnee Smith (as Amanda Young)–along with Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnove Macody Lund, Steven Brand and Michael Beach.
