Saw 10 or Saw X–either way, this one is in the can.
The next installment in the classic horror franchise–set for a theatrical release Oct. 27–has wrapped filming, and this good news comes straight from director Kevin Greutert in a series of Twitter posts that can be seen below.
Just wrapped shooting on Saw X, and though the challenges were huge (easy films are rarely worthwhile in the end), it was one of the most rewarding and epic experiences of my life. Cast and crew were firing on all cylinders, pic.twitter.com/uTMH7YzcfI

Greutert also cast his vote for Saw X as the film’s official title. “I hope we can use Saw X,” he said, “because this chapter really gets back to the roots of what made Saw so special to me and everyone else who loves John Kramer’s saga,” he said.
This new horror entry–said to be set between the events of Saw II and Saw III–is helmed by Greutert (who directed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter) from a screenplay by franchise veterans Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.
Plot details have almost non-existent to this point, but the film will see the return of Tobin Bell and sidekick Shawnee Smith, along with Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnove Macody Lund, Steven Brand and Michael Beach.
