Sarah Paulson is kicking off the dust and adding to her horror resume.
The multiple award-winning actor–known to genre fans for her roles in American Horror Story on FX and Ratched on Netflix–will star in the horror film Dust from Searchlight Pictures, according to a report on Deadline.
Dust–directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse from a screenplay by Crouse–will stream as a Hulu Original on a date yet to be announced.Shooting is expected to start in late August.
The film follows a woman “who is trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms,” according to the logline, “and is haunted by her past encounters with a threatening presence. So she must take extraordinary measures to protect her family.”
Paulson also serves as executive producer of the film, with Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin as producers. Searchlight heads DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas are overseeing the project.
