The month of horror continues according to Deadline as Raimi Productions and Starlight Media’s supernatural horror film Umma has found its star with Golden Globe Award winner Sandra Oh.
Recently acquired by Stage 6 Films at Sony Pictures, Umma, which in Korean means “mother,” is the story of Amanda (Oh) and her daughter living on an American farm. Produced by Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead series), the screenplay is written by Iris K. Shim, a documentary maker who is taking on her feature film directing debut with Umma.
Other cast members include Fivel Stewart, Dermot Mulroney, Odeya Rush, MeeWha Alana Lee and Tom Yi.
